I then drew a few of the plants onto the page overlapping with the numerous colours. As I was doing this the shadow of my blinds eventually reflected onto my sketchbook.
This created a very interesting outcome and related back to the ideas I was hoping to explore. The idea of combining the geometric shapes and man made materials with more natural shapes and elements.
Exploring greens
Looking at the different selection of green plants in my garden I decided to create a series of colour chits. Doing this allowed me to really grasp the variety of just one colour throughout the garden. It is interesting the see them alongside one another to see how they contrast and compliment each other.
When looking at the colour brown I decided to move the focus to the garden in general instead of narrowing my focus on plants. I want to explore and recreate the different patterns and textures that i can find.
